RestorationSOS® - Membership Requirements

Working with the best restoration contractors is a key to our success and high customer satisfaction rating. RestorationSOS® carefully screens its members on multiple levels including professional certifications and credentials, financial stability, insurance coverage, and more.
All RestorationSOS Members must meet the following minimum requirements:
Applicant provides at least 3 of the following services, utilizing wholly-owned equipment, uniformed technicians, and branded trucks.
- Water Restoration (Category 1, 2, and 3)
- Fire and Smoke Restoration
- Mold Remediation
- Trauma Scene Cleanup
- Board Up
- Content Cleaning and Restoration
Federal, State, and Municipal Licensure
Applicant has been in business for a minimum of two years under the assumed name of the entity for which the application is processed.
Applicant complies with all licensing and bonding as required by the applicant’s respective state(s) and municipalities.
Applicant complies with all Federal and State employment laws and statutes as well as maintains ongoing education regarding new regulations.
Applicant maintains a minimum $1 million CGL policy ($2M for commercial work), covering all vehicles, equipment, and operations.
Applicants carries valid workers' compensation covering all employees.
Pollution insurance is a plus (required on some commercial work).
Professional Trade Credentials from Accredited Schools
- Compliance with IICRC S500 Standards
- IICRC / RIA Certification
- 24/7/365 availability for emergency services
- Provide free estimates
- Ability to adopt new procedures
- Approved estimating and billing software, photo documentation
- Commitment to superior customer care
- Own and properly maintain equipment in adequate amounts and condition
- Require that all employees wear uniforms and carry and display proper identification.
