Stain Removal Guide - N

By Kimberly Duncan

Nail Polish Stains
Put a paper towel or light clothing in between the two sides of a piece of clothing stained with nail polish before treating such stain. This will prevent the stain from spreading to the other side. If the fabric is colorfast, dab a small amount of nail polish remover on the stain. Let it dry for a few minutes. Wash and launder the fabric using warm water. Repeat this procedure until the nail polish stain is completely removed. Never allow it to dry unless the stain is no longer visible.

Nail Varnish Stains
When nail varnish is accidentally spilled on clothes, the stain caused may be difficult to remove. Use a nail varnish remover to get rid of this stubborn stain. Apply the nail varnish remover on the underside of the clothing and not on the stain itself. Wash with warm water and detergent. Dry as usual.
