Stain Removal Guide - V

By Kimberly Duncan

Vase Stains
Glass vases can have dark grimy stains at the sides and the bottom. This usually occurs when flowers are left there for a long time and the water is not changed. To remove vase stains, fill the vase with water and drop two Alka-seltzer tablets. Leave this for one hour and scrub the vase clean afterwards.

Vomit Stains
Vomit stains will be very difficult to remove if left unattended for a long time. As soon as an incident occurs, soak the stained fabric in warm water. Allow the stain to be separated from the material. If the stain is still evident, make a solution of cold water and strong detergent and soak the fabric a second time. Rinse off with cold water and allow it to dry.
