Urine Stains
When urine comes in contact with bed sheets or clothes, immediately pour a small amount of cold water or
club soda over the stained areas. After this, soak the fabric in a solution of warm water and three
tablespoons of liquid detergent. Make sure that the detergent is not too diluted. If the urine stain has a strong
color or has been left there for a longer period, you can add one tablespoon of ammonia and soak the fabric in
that solution for at least 30 minutes. Launder and dry the fabric in the usual manner.
If the stain is still visible, soak the fabric in a triple solution. This solution should be made of one tablespoon of alcohol, one teaspoon of strong detergent and one tablespoon of ammonia. Leave the fabric submerged in the solution for as long as necessary. Rinse and launder in the regular way. Dry the fabric.
