Lipstick Stains
Lipstick stains can be removed by washing the stained fabric in a warm, soap-and-water solution. Grease
solvent may also be applied if you want the stain to be removed quickly. If you have more time to treat the
lipstick stain, put a dab of shaving cream on the stain. Make sure that there is a cloth underneath the stained
garment so that the stain can be absorbed by another fabric. Use another light-colored cloth to gently rub the
shaving cream on the clothing. The shaving cream will work as a solvent for the lipstick stain. After a few
seconds of gentle rubbing, rinse the treated area with cold water.
If the stain remains, you can wash the clothing with soap and rinse again with cold water. For very stubborn lipstick stains, you can use a glycerin solution instead of soap. Launder the clothing in the usual manner once all the stains are removed.
